Our History

Worthing Philharmonic Choir was formed in 1935 by Herbert Lodge as the Worthing Municipal Choir and its inaugural concert took place on the 28th of February 1936. Over the last sixty-eight years, it has performed most of the standard works in the repertoire with many distinguished soloists, orchestras and conductors.

Following restructuring in 1996 the Choir became wholly responsible for its own financial management and the promotion of concerts.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held Tuesdays at 7.30pm in the Gordon Room, Worthing Town Hall - next door to the Assembly Hall unless otherwise stated.
